This policy explains what personal data MV Dynamics collects through this website, why we use it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.
Who we are

What data we collect
Details you send us through the contact form or a product enquiry form (your name, email address, optional phone number, the type of enquiry or the product you asked about, and your message); account details if you register (name, email address, optional phone number, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile details Google shares with us); products you save as favourites; your marketing consent choice; and, when you place an order, your name, email address, phone number, company (if any), delivery address, the products ordered, the amounts, the payment method and any notes you add.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
To reply to your enquiry and take steps you ask for before any purchase (contract / pre-contract steps); to process, deliver and support your order, including warranty claims (contract); to operate your account and favourites (contract); to keep records needed to run the business and meet our legal obligations (legal obligation and legitimate interests); and to send you product updates only if you have opted in (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
Who we share it with
We use service providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Vercel (website hosting) and Google (sign-in with Google, and our email inbox, if you email us). If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also handled by WhatsApp (Meta). We do not sell personal data.
Where your data is stored
Our database is hosted by Supabase in the European Union. The UK recognises the EU as providing an adequate level of data protection. Where a provider processes data outside the UK or EU, we rely on the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up questions. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted when you delete your account. Order records are kept for six years after the end of the financial year of the order, as UK tax law requires; deleting your account unlinks them from it but does not delete them. Consent records are kept for as long as needed to show that consent was given.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), ico.org.uk.
